Risa Jaroslow choreographs as if her mission were to explore the common needs

The Company

 

Elise Knudson's choreography has been presented in New York, Toronto, and Philadelphia. She likes to play in grey areas between boxes, which has led to experiments with kite designers, video patch programmers and musicians. Elise has worked with Noemie Lafrance, Laura Peterson, Yoshiko Chuma, and other smart friends. She currently is earning an MFA in dance.



Growing up in Lexington, Kentucky, Luke Gutgsellcut his teeth on gymnastics, horsemanship and musical theater. In 2004, he graduated cum lade from the Ohio State University with a BFA in Dance Performance. He also attended the Naropa Institute. Since his arrival in New York, he has performed and apprenticed with the Bill T. Jones Dance Company and Shen Wei Dance Arts, and trained on scholarship at the Merce Cunningham Studio. Luke has danced in the companies of JoAnna Mendl Shaw, Tiffany Mills, Jody Oberfelder, Mishou Zsabo and Chris Elam. He has taught dance to equestrians, NYC high school students, GLTB youth and elders, and aspiring professional dancers.



Paul Singh earned his BFA in Dance from the University of Illinois Urbana/Champaign. He has had his work presented at the Judson Church, Dance Theater Workshop, and in 2004 his solo piece "Stutter" was chosen to be presented at the Kennedy Center. Paul has recently performed with Gerald Casel, DouglasDunn and Molissa Fenley.



Gabriel was born in Louisiana, raised in Detroit and transplanted from San Francisco to New York City in 2004. As the Choreographer/Director of projectLIMB, he has performed in Hawaii, Pittsburgh, Dallas, Paris, Rome, San Francisco, and New York City. ProjectLIMB's work has been presented in NYC at the Tank, White Wave, The Puffin Room, and Symphony Space. He was a Dance Omi International Dance Collective Resident in the summer of 2005, and was nominated for four Isadora Duncan awards (San Francisco's highest honor) in 2004 and 2005. He has had the pleasure of working with Heather Mcardle, Keith Thompson, Bill Young, and John Jasperse.



Rachel Lehrer began her training at the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts. She continued on to a fruitful year at Sarah Lawrence College, where she met and later danced for Kraig Patterson, Kathy Westwater, Philippa Kaye, Anneke Hansen and Sara Rudner. She received her BA from Columbia University in American Studies and has the pleasure of currently dancing for Risa, Anneke and Sara. She looks forward to teaching and taking part in more dance.
